CORN FRIED RICE

Corn fried rice:
                       Corn fried rice is an easy and tasty rice recipe which is perfect for the lunch box. 

          So, here I provided the preparation of restaurant style corn fried rice, give it a try for yourself...



Ingredients: 
  • Basmati rice/normal rice - 1 1/2 cup
  • Sweet corn- 1 to 1 1/2 cup
  • Carrot - 1 medium sized (chopped)
  • Capsicum - 1 medium sized( chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch (chopped)
  • Onion - 2 medium sized (chopped)
  • Green chillies - 5 to 6 (finely chopped)
  • Coriander - 2 tbsp (for garnishing)
  • Dark soya sauce - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli sauce - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli sauce - 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Preparation:
  1. Firstly, cook basmati rice and keep aside.
  2. Now, In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and add chopped ginger, onion, green chilli and saute well and cook untill onions become soft.
  3. Then add chopped Carrot, Capsicum, Sweet corn and saute well and cook them by adding 1/2 tsp salt for 7 to 10 min on a low to medium flame till the veggies become soft.
  4. Now add 1 1/2 tsp dark soya sauce, 1 tsp red chilli sauce, 1 tsp green chilli sauce  and saute for a minute or two.
  5. Add cooked rice onto it and add 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt to taste and saute well slowly without breaking the rice.
  6. Lastly, garnish with some coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
  7. Corn fried rice is ready to serve. Serve with vegitable salad.

Tips:
  • You can use basmati rice or normal rice, both goes well for this dish.
  • You can add veggies of your taste... Like cabbage, cauliflower, beans, green peas, potato, carrot, capsicum etc.,
