Corn fried rice is an easy and tasty rice recipe which is perfect for the lunch box.
So, here I provided the preparation of restaurant style corn fried rice, give it a try for yourself...
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice/normal rice - 1 1/2 cup
- Sweet corn- 1 to 1 1/2 cup
- Carrot - 1 medium sized (chopped)
- Capsicum - 1 medium sized( chopped)
- Ginger - 1/2 inch (chopped)
- Onion - 2 medium sized (chopped)
- Green chillies - 5 to 6 (finely chopped)
- Coriander - 2 tbsp (for garnishing)
- Dark soya sauce - 1 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli sauce - 1 tsp
- Green chilli sauce - 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Preparation:
- Firstly, cook basmati rice and keep aside.
- Now, In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and add chopped ginger, onion, green chilli and saute well and cook untill onions become soft.
- Then add chopped Carrot, Capsicum, Sweet corn and saute well and cook them by adding 1/2 tsp salt for 7 to 10 min on a low to medium flame till the veggies become soft.
- Now add 1 1/2 tsp dark soya sauce, 1 tsp red chilli sauce, 1 tsp green chilli sauce and saute for a minute or two.
- Add cooked rice onto it and add 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt to taste and saute well slowly without breaking the rice.
- Lastly, garnish with some coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
- Corn fried rice is ready to serve. Serve with vegitable salad.
Tips:
- You can use basmati rice or normal rice, both goes well for this dish.
- You can add veggies of your taste... Like cabbage, cauliflower, beans, green peas, potato, carrot, capsicum etc.,
